Reverend Anson Wilson was appointed as Senior Pastor to Venice Park United Methodist Church, and our sister church Hamilton Memorial United Methodist Church on July 1, 2022. Reverend Wilson believes that the Gospel is transformative; it can change individuals, communities, and the world for the better. A demonstrated leader, he serves on the Greater New Jersey Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministries. He has led youth ministry in two United Methodist churches and was a leader for campus ministry at NJIT, Rutgers-Newark, and Essex County College. An experienced worship leader and musician, he has served multiple churches for over ten years. In addition to playing the piano, guitar, and drums, he is a vocalist. Having a passion for business, economic empowerment, and education, Reverend Wilson holds a BS in Finance from New Jersey Institute of Technology and received his Master of Divinity from Drew School of Theology in May 2022.
